چکیده
4D Biofabrication – a pioneering biofabrication technique involves the automated fabrication of 3D constructs that are dynamic and show shape-transformation capability. Although current methods highly promising for vascular elements such as tubes, tubular junctions is still challenging. Here, first time, biofabrication-based concept T-shaped bifurcation using printed shape-changing layers based on mathematical model reported. The formation structures with various diameters achieved by precisely controlling parameters (e.g. crosslinking time). Consequently, films self-transformation into T-junction upon immersion in water diameter few millimeters. Perfusion an aqueous medium simulating blood flow through vessels shows minimal leakages maximum velocity 0.11 m s–1. Furthermore, human umbilical vein endothelial cells seeded inner surface plain outstanding growth properties excellent cell viability. comparable to native vessels, which challenge biofabrication. This approach paves way fully automatic self-actuated bifurcations grafts.

The traditional motivation for integrating biological components into microfabricated devices has been to create biosensors that meld the molecular recognition capabilities of biology with the signal processing capabilities of electronic devices. However, a different motivation is emerging; biological components are being explored to radically change how fabrication is achieved at the micro- an...
متن کامل4D flow-sensitive MR estimation of pulmonary vascular resistance
Background Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is characterized by progressive increase in pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR), leading to right ventricular (RV) failure [1]. PVR is calculated using right heart catheterization (RHC), from the trans-pulmonary pressure gradient (ΔP) and pulmonary flow (QPA). Doppler echocardiography can estimate PVR from the ratio of peak tricuspid regurgitatio...
